Spalted Sycamore Spindle Blanks

     Sycamore is a domestic wood which grows in the Missouri Ozarks. These gorgeous blanks have been air dried for two years even though the log was fairly dry before it was processed through the saw mill. The ends of the blanks were sealed with AnchorSeal to prevent checking immediately after they were cut. No two blanks are the same and the picture on the left depicts a typical blank selection.
